Nature's Choice Deck is chemical-free and long-lasting because it is thermally modified. That is, it is "treated" by way of a special chemical-free process using special kilns and moisture in a unique and very specific process that essentially bakes the wood until it is no longer edible by insects and termites and takes on some very interesting and beneficial characteristics.

The special process also gives Nature's Choice Deck a rich brown hue common to very expensive hardwood decking such as ipe and masaranduba.
